Bachir is among those who joined Amazing Aerial Agency at the very beginning. He joined around three years ago when the CEO Paul Prescott presented him the idea of starting an aerial-only agency. Bachir loved the idea because aerial photography is his main focus. He doesn’t even own a camera!

In 2014 he started shooting with drone, when drone was relatively new in the photography field. The aerial perspective really caught Bachir’s attention. He started flying and keeping practicing on smooth manoeuvres etc. He envisioned that in couple of years it will be the next evolution in technology.

When asked about his story with Dubai, Bachir told us how much the city has changed since he first went there. In 10 years, Dubai started from pure desert to a city full of skyscrapers and communities. Bachir expressed his appreciation of the city and its leaders for what they done for the people of Dubai. It will always obtain a special place in the photographer’s heart.

Bachir believes seeing Dubai from above is the best way to view the cityscape. He said: “Everything in Dubai is grandioso: tallest buildings on earth, big shapes that can only be seen from the sky such as the palm island, which is the biggest project of a man maid island; big events, long roads etc.”

So far Bachir has accumulated a quiet big portfolio. The portfolio has a diversity of urban, nature and wildlife. He is always on the move and is always out shooting. Therefore, his portfolio has grown really fast both in quantity and in quality.

Bachir currently flies with DJI Mavic while travelling outside of Dubai, as it is foldable and easy to carry. While in Dubai he flies an Inspire 2 with an x Camera full lens kit.

Advice to aerial art lovers and drone pilots?

Bachir: My first advise is planning. It is the same with ground photography. Planning the light and timing and the composition is 70% of the work , execution and post process is 30%. Secondly, search on google maps interesting patterns or geographical shapes, monuments etc. Last but not least, explore your drone by filming videos. Understand the technology and push it to the limits. Videography on drone is all about practicing complex shots.
